Real talk. Real stories. Real identity work.
MY VYBZ is where young listeners find language for their experiences, courage for their voice, and community for the journey.
Am I enough? Do I fit in? Who am I becoming?
From bullying and fear of judgment to the struggle of finding the right words to express who you are, MY VYBZ moves into honest conversations about the pressures shaping today’s youth, creating space for the stories behind the silence.
In this episode, NextHarvest Youth Council scholars Hannah and Kayden have a discussion with their guest, Imani West, recent graduate from the mental health counseling program at Campbell University to unpack how stigma, expectations, and cultural norms can make identity feel complicated, and why so many young people feel torn between who they are and who the world wants them to be.
And because social media is part of the journey, we talk about that too — how it can boost confidence one minute and create confusion the next. Whether it’s filters, trends, or comparison culture, we explore how online spaces shape self‑perception and influence the way young people see themselves.
